From the beautiful Northeast of India, I am the ‘Artistically Crafty’ Muskymiris (musk-y-miris) and this is my blog Sublime Queen Strawberry.
Apart from indulging in the sweet ecstasy of being a food lover and a bibliophile, I am a Biotechnology graduate from St. Edmund’s College, Shillong. Basically an ambivert by nature, I just heart cartoon movies.
Starting out as more of a hobby initially, crafting turned into a passion for me as I realised I could bring my imagination to a tangible reality. The OMG! I love its, so pretty and so beautifuls and the occasional this is amazings added stars to my satisfaction level and kept fuelling my enthusiasm meter.
Sublime Queen Strawberry is a fun and creative compendium of unlimited source and inspiration for every craft enthusiast.
Let’s spread some craftiness.
With much love ,

Today’s post is majorly a photograph based post. You know more like a feel good post. I have been feeling a little nostalgic lately!
We had shifted to a new place very recently and during this shifting I happened to find my work from when I was a kid!!
Ah! The happiness of finding stuffs related to our childhood. I went back to the times when I used to work on these little cuties with utmost care and dedication. Feels really good to have some things reminding me of where it all started.
So today I decided that I would share my memories and some of the works I did when I was in high school.
And guess what else I found?!
I FOUND MY KITCHEN SET!!!!
I LOVED playing with this.
HOW CUTE ARE THEY!!!!
I will tell you guys something.
I played with this kitchen set before taking the photographs.
I will tell you guys – I never felt as nostalgic as I did today!!
You must be thinking what is it with the title of my post today! Believe me or not it is an actual word! Well… mostly (and exclusively) in my region.
I came across this fantastic word when I met Phophopho Priyanka herself! She is the most amazing, fun and lovely soul and also an amazing artist.
Before I say anything more let me put up the piece that she wrote when I asked her to write something about herself and her work.
Phophopho Priyanka as herself
Thank you, Muskymiris, for asking me to write on your blog. This is like blowing my own trumpet and not knowing the musical notation of it! Hello, readers, I am Priyanka, nowadays known as Phophopho. My FB page is called Phophopho World.
“Phophopho” was a term used by my Grandma (Aita) for anyone who is hopeless, nincompoop or generally, a show-off. A lot of people from Upper Assam seem to be familiar with the term. Even if you are not, once you start using it, it starts to make a lot of sense! I resonated with the term, and I started using it to refer to what I was doing with my artwork.
Three years ago, art was a hobby. I had quit my cushiony in-house legal counsel job in a MNC and wanted to explore other possibilities. In my free time, I would draw cartoons. Sometimes, I would post them on social media. Friends encouraged my work and they seemed to be amused by it; my husband too suggested that a FB page would be a more appropriate platform to showcase. So, I decided that once I reach 50 artworks, I will have my own page. Well, it was only a matter of time. Since then, there has been no looking back. I regularly draw and upload cartoons on my page. My artworks are reflection of what I see, feel and think. Since I like travels, a lot of them deal with travel. Also, food!
Being an Assamese based out of Assam, many of my cartoons invariably link to nostalgic moments about Assam. These seem to strike a chord with people, and it gives me so much joy to see that people resonate with my work and that I manage to make them smile. Slowly and steadily, I am starting to get recognized through my artwork. Sometimes when a friend introduces me as the illustrator behind Phophopho, the stranger would reply “I follow your page!” Those words are music to my ears! People have trusted me with advertisements, logos, article-artwork, personalized greetings and above all, wedding invites! I love doing personalized artworks. It gives me a glimpse on another person’s perspectives.
As Muskymiris would tell you, I have recently created a logo and banner for her. The ideas are her own; the cartoon has been made in my usual style. I hope readers like the new logo and banner as much as we do. It was an absolute delight drawing it, especially the cute, cartoon dragon! For more information on why a dragon has been incorporated, perhaps Muskymiris might be able to shed some light on it, because I, myself, am curious to know!
Thank you so much for this space to write. Love you, Muskymiris, and keep creating!
Told you guys she is amazing!
Well.. I met her through her Facebook page too. I fell in love with her work as soon as I saw it and I was dying to own any sort of artwork done by her. And what coincidence, I required a banner for my online shop and in general a banner for my products! I was more than happy to contact her.
I did try to go the minimalist way but who are we kidding right?! That is so not me! I like anything and everything that is cute and colourful and Phophopho Priyanka is just that!
When I finally got the banner – I can’t tell you guys how happy I was with it. I am kinda proud of my banner you know! My logo came out of the banner itself. She turned almost everything that I love into that little banner that she created.
Look at that cute banner! 😍
I fell in love with it the moment I saw it! This banner has almost everything I love – cuteness overloaded with nature, books and DRAGONS!
I – LOVE – DRAGONS!!! I have been fascinated with dragons ever since I was a kid! They look so fascinating with their huge wings and their ability to breathe fire!! I would adopt one if it would have been possible to get one somehow somewhere!! 😅
So when Phophopho asked me if there is anything she would like me to incorporate in the banner – I said please somehow fit in a dragon somewhere.
And the dragon she incorporated!!! I could not have asked for a cuter dragon! 😁
With just a few days remaining to Teacher’s Day, I whipped up two really cute and really really easy cards for my teachers.
They took just an hour of my time and were ready to be gifted to my teachers.
Even though there were a lot of teachers who helped shape me since I was an tinytot, there is this one particular couple of teachers who have been very very close to me. I met them quite late in my life but since we HAVE met, they have been the best.
I remember my time during junior high, we would try to find every possible means and ideas to NOT attend tuitions. But we would try to find every possible means and ideas TO ATTEND her class! She was that amazing! We were a group of five to six kidso who were regular to her classes. During winters we would have a series of games of badminton and at times we would be too tired to study! It was fun!
To be as selfless and as loving teachers as they are, takes a damn big and good heart!
I was out for a couple of years during my graduation years. And I missed out big-time! So this year, I decided to gift them something handmade. And I thought what better way than to thank them on Teacher’s Day with my handmade cards.
These are like the easiest cards – trust me! And it was quite fun to make them!
So here are some photographs of the finished cards. I decided to keep them quite simple yet kinda cutesy. I hope they like them.
How is everyone doing? So I have been laying low for quite some time now especially because of this heat. The heat here is unbearable! I have been spending most of my afternoons doing absolutely nothing.
But I did complete my birdhouse. I painted it and drew some bits to make it look cute. I am really happy with the end product. It doesn’t probably look very professional but I guess that’s the beauty of handmade products – it’s beauty lies in its imperfections.
So here I am sharing some pictures of the finished birdhouse. Check it out and please give me a feedback!
So, do you think the little birdies will like this house I made for them??
If you would like to purchase it and/or if you want me to create a personalised birdhouse – please do contact me.
I know! You see, for the past one month I have been just so busy!! I have taken up a project which kept me tied up for most of my times. In addition I also have been studying. I have got a major exam coming up so I have and it just have been a really busy time for me.
So I have had a few friends this past month! Let me introduce them to you.
Say hello to…… uh……. my tools!?!
A bit too dramatic?! I know!
But truth be told I have been spending way more time cutting amd nailing and colouring in the process of creating my first BIRDHOUSE!!!
Check out some pictures 👇
All this started back when I saw a couple of sparrows on my yard. They seemed so so cute! ❤ I started putting out little food for them and to my surprise it would vanish in no time! I started a little detective investigation because the amount of food I used to put out was impossible to go out so soon! Turns out they aren’t eating any of it. They are carrying the food on their beaks!
I figured there were baby sparrows somewhere! 🐣
And it hit me! Let’s make some houses for those little buddies of ours!
My granny’s place is full of them!
Now I have around 12 sparrows! This makes me so happy!!!
So I figured I would make a couple more and put them up for sale! This bird house opens from the top for cleaning purposes.
I am sharing some pictures. Have a look!
I have layered it well with primer. It will protect the ply and will give the birshouse a lasting effect.
Right now I am colouring them. As soon as that process is over I will make another post.
Till then, keep following me on Instagram @muskymiris. I keep uploading little sneak peak videos on Instagram.
Today I will be putting up a tutorial on how to make a box card. To make this card, I have used stickers from hike, because I love hike so much 😍
Today is my gal pal’s birthday! So this for you sweety 😙
So crafters, let’s start with the tutorial of a birthday box card.
To make this box card we will require a cardstock measuring 6″ x 13″ inch. Divide and score them into 3″ inch horizontally and the remaining 1″ inch will act as the tab. Next score them at 2″ inch vertically. The following template should help.
Score on the dotted lines and cut the straight lines i.e 2″ inch from the top.
Cut off the corners of the tab.
Next glue the tab onto place i.e. to the other end of the card stock.
It will form a box with flaps on the top.
Onto the center of the hollowed box add two to three tabs to glue onto some stickers. ( Sorry, I forgot to take those pictures)
Decorate and vóila!
Cardbox is ready! Flatten it and put it onto an envelope and mail it. As the reciever opens it, it would pop out to form the 3-D card!!
